SheSquats

Yo, I wouldn't be defining anything from a Men's Health magazine. That answer wasn't even coherent, let alone correct. Strength training is for advanced lifters only? Come on.

No worries I'll remove the text and keep it in mind for future reference.

Cheers

Common Diet Myths

  • Carbohydrates are fattening
Carbohydrates are rarely stored as fat, and have a lower calorie density
  • A heavy meal high in fat will satisfy hunger
Low GI carbohydrates, as well as protein rich foods are more fi lling
  • Skipping meals, especially breakfast, is an effective means of weight loss
Skipping meals lowers the metabolism and can lead to greater fat storage, eating increases energy expenditure due to the thermic effect of food, whilst skipping meals also commonly leads to binge eating
  • Grapefruit breaks down fat
There is absolutely no scientific proof of this
  • Carbohydrate and protein cannot be digested together
Many of our staple foods like bread and milk contain both carbohydrate and protein, and people have been adequately digesting these foods for generations
  • Consuming carbohydrates (CHO) after 3pm (or 6pm/7pm) will result in fat storage, because we cannot burn up the CHO
Fat storage is due to an excess of energy intake, usually accompanied by a high fat intake, our body does not recognise time, all it is concerned with is the status of energy balance

Upsetting this is her last submission, (for now) can't wait to see her future results.
